http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=297 is updated to include the new autodetect for the location on the profile, and cautions people to please think before putting up their home address in public.

I'd like to move 281, the "how do I mark my posts as inappropriate for underages" FAQ out of "Conflicts with Other Users". The "what happens if other people flag my stuff and it gets sent to Abuse" is really only a mention in a sentence or two; the rest of the FAQ is really "how do I flag my own stuff" and user-ed about what happens when you run ( Read more... )

As part of a rehauling of the Cyrillic Services faqcat, "How do I Russianize my account?" has been moved to cat-sup (from Account Levels), as it's a Cyrillic Service and not an account level. :)

Based on this proposal, it's fairly clear that we need a better FAQ to help users use LJ as an OpenID provider. So, let's make FAQ 233 more comprehensive, and move it to the ext_sites category. Here's some proposed text:

The Premium Features FAQ cat was removed and its FAQs moved to other FAQ cats as follows:

- FAQ 113 (How does my LiveJournal email address work?) to Account Levels (below FAQ 131)

- FAQ 123 (What is the Directory?) to Account Levels (below FAQ 114)

- All other FAQs to a new category, Mobile Access, order unchanged

I just moved the following FAQs from Premium:

- FAQ 69 (How do I add a poll to my entry? How do I vote in polls or change my vote?) to Entries (below FAQ 268)

- FAQ 74 (What is the "Express Lane"? What benefit does it offer?) to Site Navigation (at the end)

As an update to my previous post, the Embedding FAQs were merged down to one FAQ and moved to the Customization category. The Embedding FAQ category no longer exists.

The Embedding FAQ is 68; the other two simply point there now.

It's been a while since I did a full-blown FAQ change, so go easy on me with pointing out FAQ style guidelines and such, please. :)

Restructuring of FAQ68 and FAQ146, and dropping FAQ147. Much of the current information is unnecessary now with the new howtos.
